Local country singer performs in Nashville Tennessee and is closer to making her dream a reality

Twenty-one-year old Alicia Savinelli of Avoca, performed one of her original singles "Let's Go" at Mad Donna's Restaurant &Lounge last Friday. Savinelli who wasn't even expected to perform at Mad Donna's, played in front of over 100 spectators after she was founded on YouTube.

"I've been putting up videos of me singing on YouTube for over two years now and one morning I received a call from Peter Amato who's a record producer who recorded with Lee Ann Rimes," Savinelli said.

Amato who stumbled on Savinelli's YouTube channel said Savinelli is a natural talent who deserved to have her voice heard in a place where stars are born.

"When I first saw her on YouTube I said to myself this girl can really sing and I knew I had to fly her out to Nashville to get her voice heard right away," said Amato.

Savinelli however, is no stranger to performing after winning the Froggy 101 Singer Song Writers Contest last January where she has been recording her own demo CD for nine months which will feature songs she has covered on YouTube and her original Single "Let's Go."

"My demo CD will be available for purchase this January if everything is recorded on time," said Savinelli. "Once I won the Singer Song Writer's contest I had the opportunity to perform in front of country superstar Eric Paslay and I just had to put my recording on hold for this chance of a lifetime."

Savinelli's performance at Mad Donna's received attention from friends and fans all over facebook and has allowed her to start her own band which is still in the works. Savinelli has also received attention from local businesses such as Diane's Deli in Pittston and Senunas' Bar & Grill in Wilkes-Baree where she will be performing at in the next couple months.

Diane Simko of Diane's Deli said she is excited about working with Savinelli and always loves to see people pursuing their dreams.

"It's a wonderful thing for our community and I hope by performing on both a smaller and larger scale Alicia's dream will come true," said Simko.

Savinelli has become known around town as the girl who will let nothing stand in her way of doing what she truly loves to do an still continues to do self promotions on facebook and YouTube where she is trying to widen her fan base.

"Whether I'm performing in Nashville or in my hometown you will know my name that I promise you," said Savinelli.
